Do you shoot at my location?
Yes we are able to either shoot at your location or in a rented studio space. Full day (8 hours) studio rental starts at $900/day (before cleaning fee and security deposit). Alternatively for products, we offer a remote shooting service whereby you can watch us shoot live in our home studio.
Do I need to close my outlet for the shoot?
We can do the shoot during your outlet’s operating hours although we advise to do so during your off peak hours so that we do not disrupt your operations.
How many photos can you shoot in a day?
It depends on your finalized shot list. Typically styled shots, mood shots, lifestyle shots, action shots, hands in frame and levitating shots take a longer time. It could take 30 - 45 minutes for a simple dish with minimal styling to 2 hours and more for a complicated dish with maximum styling and hands in frame.
How do you charge?
Our fees are based on the finalized shot list so that we can gauge the time required to shoot and edit the shots. It varies depending on the type of shots you need as we offer on white shots, styled shots, lifestyle shots and more. We take into account the licensing such as what the shots will be used for, where the shots would be used and how long they would be used for. Please note that I do not mark up on expenses like photography assistant, food stylist, studio rental, props purchase etc and all invoices will be provided as well.
Do you work alone or with a team?
Depending on the scope and complexity of the project, I could either work alone or with the aid of photography assistants, food stylists, prop stylists etc. A photography assistant full day (8 hours) fee starts at $250/day. A food stylist full day (8 hours) fee starts at $1,500/day.
What kind of gear do you use?
We use Godox flashes, Aputure continuous lighting, full-frame cameras together with other pieces of equipment to capture your images.
Do you retouch photos?
Yes we retouch your selected final images before handing them over to you.
How do we get our photos?
We will provide you with an access pin to your online client gallery.
Do you provide props and food styling services?
Yes we work with a large team of external freelance food stylists. It can be an add-on to the standard package. For certain projects, an external food stylist may have to be recruited and their full day (8 hours) fee starts from $1,500/day.
What’s your typical timeline?
We hand over high resolution edited images within 3 to 7 working days. For faster turnarounds, we charge a rush fee.
How do we book you?
Send us an email with your contact details and we will be in touch! We will chat on the phone about your upcoming project and your booking is secured once we received the signed contract and the 50% advance.
What happens after I hire you?
We would create a moodboard based on your concept and reference images provided. In the moodboard, we go into specifics in the shot list so that things would proceed as planned on shoot day. Prior to shoot day, we would meet at your location to discuss the moodboard as well as view the area allocated for the shoot. We would meet the chefs and other team members involved in the shoot to run through the plan for shoot day.
